Couples therapy
Couples therapy for two, in 50 or 80 minutes
For two partners, married or not, who want help talking to each other and being heard. Both of you come to every session.
You choose between Rebeca and Harish, and between 50 and 80 minutes. We suggest 80 minutes for the first session so there is time for both of you.

What a session looks like
- 01
We start with what you want different
Each of you says it in your own words, and the other listens.
- 02
Each of you is heard
Your clinician makes sure neither of you is talked over.
- 03
We name the pattern
We look at what happens between you when it goes badly, not at who is to blame.
- 04
We end with one thing to try
Small, and yours to take or leave before the next session.
The details
Method, length and payment
The method
Rebeca works mostly from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Harish from the Gottman method, and both use Imago dialogues. EFT is taught through ICEEFT, the Gottman method through the Gottman Institute and Imago through Imago Relationships International.
Compare the three methodsWhat this is not
It is not individual therapy, and it is not a way to decide who is right. We do not take sides, and we do not tell you whether to stay together.
Length and frequency
Sessions are 50 or 80 minutes. Most couples meet every week or every other week at first. Your clinician sets the pace with you and does not promise a number of sessions.
How it is paid
One fee for each session, not one for each of you, given to you in writing before you start.

Questions
Questions about couples therapy
Do both of us have to come?
Couples therapy needs both partners in the room or on the video. If one of you is unsure, come to the first session and say so; you can decide afterward.
Can we come if we are not married?
Yes. We see partners who are married, engaged, living together or none of those.
Can we pick which clinician we see?
Yes. Read their pages, then write to the one who feels right. Rebeca sees couples in English and Spanish; Harish in English.
Write to us when you are ready
Tell us which times suit both of you. We say who has an opening.
